Dev Diwali
Dev Diwali, also known as the "Festival of Lights for the Gods," is celebrated 15 days after the main festival of Diwali. It marks the victory of Lord Shiva over the demon Tripurasura and is observed primarily in Varanasi, India. Dev Diwali is a time for devotees to honor the deities by lighting lamps and offering prayers.
During this festival, the ghats of Varanasi are illuminated with thousands of diyas (oil lamps), creating a breathtaking sight. People participate in various rituals, including the recitation of scriptures and community feasts, to express gratitude and seek blessings for prosperity and well-being.
