Design-Bid-Build
Design-Bid-Build is a traditional project delivery method used in construction. In this approach, the project is divided into three distinct phases: design, bidding, and construction. First, an architect or designer creates the project plans. Then, contractors submit bids to complete the work based on those plans.
Once a contractor is selected, they begin the construction phase. This method allows for clear roles and responsibilities, as the designer and builder are separate entities. However, it can lead to longer project timelines since each phase must be completed before moving to the next.
