Delta Baryon
The Delta Baryon is a type of subatomic particle that belongs to the baryon family, which are particles made up of three quarks. It is part of the larger group of particles known as hadrons, which interact via the strong force. Delta baryons are characterized by their spin of 3/2 and come in four charge states: Δ++, Δ+, Δ0, and Δ−.
Delta baryons are heavier than the more commonly known protons and neutrons, which are also baryons. They are unstable and typically decay into other particles, such as nucleons and pions, through weak interactions. Their study helps physicists understand the fundamental forces and the structure of matter in the universe.
