Delhi-class
The Delhi-class is a series of guided-missile destroyers used by the Indian Navy. These ships are designed for multi-role operations, including anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine warfare. The class is named after the capital city of India, Delhi, and features advanced radar and weapon systems to enhance naval capabilities.
The first ship of the Delhi-class, INS Delhi, was commissioned in 1997. The class has been instrumental in modernizing the Indian Navy's fleet, providing enhanced operational flexibility and power projection in the Indian Ocean region. The ships are equipped with a variety of missiles, including the BrahMos cruise missile, making them formidable assets in maritime defense.
