Defencemen
Defencemen are players in ice hockey whose primary role is to protect their team's goal. They play on the blue line and work to prevent the opposing team from scoring by blocking shots, checking players, and intercepting passes. Defencemen often collaborate with goaltenders to create a strong defensive strategy.
In addition to their defensive duties, defencemen can also contribute to their team's offense. They often take part in power plays and can score goals or assist in scoring by shooting from the point. Notable defencemen in the NHL include Bobby Orr and Nicklas Lidström, who are celebrated for their skills and contributions to the game.
