Defence Medical Services
Defence Medical Services (DMS) is a branch of the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence that provides healthcare to military personnel and their families. It ensures that service members receive medical support during training, operations, and in times of conflict. DMS includes various healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and paramedics, who are trained to handle the unique challenges of military medicine.
In addition to direct medical care, DMS is involved in health promotion, disease prevention, and rehabilitation services. It operates medical facilities both in the UK and overseas, ensuring that troops have access to essential healthcare wherever they are deployed.
