Deepavali
Deepavali, also known as Diwali, is a major Hindu festival celebrated primarily in India and by Indian communities worldwide. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. The festival typically lasts five days, with the third day being the most significant, marked by the worship of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.
During Deepavali, people decorate their homes with diyas (oil lamps) and colorful rangoli designs. Fireworks, sweets, and festive meals are common, as families come together to celebrate. The festival also includes the exchange of gifts and greetings, fostering a sense of community and joy.
