The Dawn spacecraft was a NASA mission launched in 2007 to study two of the largest objects in the asteroid belt: Vesta and Ceres. It was the first spacecraft to orbit two different extraterrestrial bodies, providing valuable data about their composition and history.
Dawn used ion propulsion technology, allowing it to travel efficiently through space. After successfully orbiting Vesta from 2011 to 2012, it continued its journey to Ceres, where it arrived in 2015. The mission helped scientists learn more about the early solar system and the formation of planets.
