Dawn Staley is a former professional basketball player and current head coach of the University of South Carolina women's basketball team. Born on May 4, 1970, in Wilmington, North Carolina, she had a successful playing career, winning three Olympic gold medals with the USA Women's National Basketball Team and being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.
As a coach, Staley has led her team to multiple NCAA championships, establishing herself as one of the top coaches in women's college basketball. Her leadership and dedication have earned her numerous accolades, including several SEC Coach of the Year awards.
