Dawn Mission
The Dawn Mission was a NASA space mission launched in 2007 to study two of the largest objects in the asteroid belt: Vesta and Ceres. It was the first mission to orbit two extraterrestrial bodies, providing valuable data about the early solar system. The spacecraft used ion propulsion technology, allowing it to travel efficiently over long distances.
Dawn successfully orbited Vesta from 2011 to 2012, gathering detailed images and data about its surface and composition. Afterward, it traveled to Ceres, where it arrived in 2015. The mission concluded in 2018, having significantly advanced our understanding of these celestial bodies and their role in planetary formation.
