David II
David II was the King of Scotland from 1329 until his death in 1371. He was the son of Robert the Bruce, a famous Scottish king known for his role in the Wars of Scottish Independence. David II became king at a young age after his father's death and faced challenges, including conflicts with England and internal strife.
During his reign, David II sought to strengthen Scotland's position and recover lost territories. He was captured during a battle in 1346 and spent eleven years in English captivity. After his release, he worked to restore his kingdom but struggled with political issues until his death.
