David Brainerd
David Brainerd was an American missionary born in 1718. He is best known for his work among the Native American tribes in the northeastern United States, particularly the Delaware and Susquehanna tribes. Brainerd's journals, which detail his experiences and struggles, have been influential in the history of American missions.
Brainerd faced many challenges, including illness and opposition, but he remained dedicated to his mission until his death in 1747 at the age of 29. His life and writings inspired later missionaries, including William Carey and Adoniram Judson, and he is often remembered for his deep faith and commitment to spreading Christianity.
