Dardania
Dardania was an ancient region located in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula, primarily in what is now Kosovo and parts of North Macedonia. It was inhabited by the Dardani, an Illyrian tribe, and played a significant role in the history of the Illyrian people. Dardania was known for its mountainous terrain and strategic location, which contributed to its importance in trade and military activities.
During the Roman period, Dardania became part of the Roman Empire and was later established as a province. The region was known for its rich resources, including minerals and fertile land, which supported agriculture. Today, Dardania is often referenced in historical studies of the Balkans and the ancient Illyrian civilization.
