Daphne-Class Submarine
The Daphne-Class Submarine is a series of diesel-electric submarines developed by the French Navy in the 1950s. Designed for anti-submarine warfare and reconnaissance missions, these submarines are known for their compact size and agility. They can operate at depths of up to 300 meters and have a surface displacement of around 1,500 tons.
Equipped with torpedoes and mines, the Daphne-Class submarines played a significant role during the Cold War. A total of 12 units were built, and they served various navies, including those of France and Brazil. Their design influenced later submarine models, showcasing advancements in underwater technology.
