Danish 1st Division
The Danish 1st Division is the second tier of professional football in Denmark. It operates below the top league, known as the Danish Superliga. The division features a number of clubs competing for promotion to the Superliga, with the top teams at the end of the season earning the chance to move up.
Founded in 1911, the Danish 1st Division has undergone several changes in format and structure over the years. The league typically consists of 12 teams, and matches are played from August to May. The bottom teams face relegation to the Danish 2nd Division.
