Dadaab Refugee Camp
The Dadaab Refugee Camp is located in northeastern Kenya and was established in 1991 to accommodate people fleeing conflict and persecution, primarily from Somalia. It is one of the largest refugee camps in the world, housing over 200,000 refugees in a challenging environment with limited resources.
The camp consists of several smaller camps, including Hagadera, Ifo, and Dagahaley. Refugees in Dadaab face difficulties such as inadequate access to clean water, healthcare, and education. Despite these challenges, many organizations work to provide support and improve living conditions for the residents.
