DIBELS
DIBELS, or Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills, is a set of standardized assessments designed to measure early literacy skills in students from kindergarten through sixth grade. These assessments help educators identify students who may need additional support in reading and provide a way to monitor their progress over time.
The DIBELS assessments focus on key areas of reading, including phonemic awareness, alphabetic principle, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. By using these tools, teachers can make informed decisions about instruction and interventions, ensuring that all students develop the necessary skills for successful reading.
