DEVA (God)
In various religious traditions, a Deva is often understood as a divine being or god. The term originates from ancient Indian texts, particularly in Hinduism, where Devas are considered celestial beings associated with natural forces and phenomena. They are typically seen as benevolent and are often worshipped for their powers and attributes.
In Buddhism, the concept of Devas also exists, but they are viewed differently. Here, Devas inhabit higher realms and enjoy long lives, yet they are not considered eternal or supreme beings. Instead, they are part of the cycle of existence, subject to rebirth and impermanence, similar to all sentient beings.
