DCC system
A DCC system, or Digital Command Control, is a method used in model railroading to control trains and accessories digitally. Unlike traditional systems that use analog signals, DCC allows multiple trains to operate independently on the same track. This is achieved by sending digital commands through the track, enabling precise control over speed, direction, and lighting.
In a DCC setup, each train is equipped with a decoder that interprets the digital signals. Users can control various functions, such as sound effects and lighting, using a DCC controller. This technology enhances the realism and enjoyment of model railroading by providing more operational flexibility.
