Cyndaquil is a small, quadrupedal Pokémon resembling a blue and yellow anteater. It is known as the Fire Mouse Pokémon and is recognized for the flames that erupt from its back when it is excited or threatened. Cyndaquil evolves into Quilava starting at level 14 and eventually into Typhlosion at level 36. Cyndaquil first appeared in the Pokémon series in the second generation games, Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver. As a Fire-type Pokémon, it is weak against Water, Rock, and Ground-type moves. Cyndaquil is often chosen as a starter Pokémon due to its friendly nature and strong potential in battles.
