Cygnus Constellation
The Cygnus Constellation, also known as the Swan, is a prominent constellation in the northern sky. It is easily recognizable due to its distinctive cross shape, often referred to as the Northern Cross. Cygnus contains several notable stars, including Deneb, which is one of the brightest stars in the night sky and part of the Summer Triangle asterism.
Cygnus is also home to the Cygnus X-1 black hole, one of the first black holes discovered and a strong X-ray binary system. The constellation is rich in deep-sky objects, such as the North America Nebula and the Veil Nebula, making it a popular target for amateur astronomers.
