Cumann na nGaedheal
Cumann na nGaedheal was a political party in Ireland founded in 1923. It emerged from the Irish Free State and aimed to promote a stable government and economic development after the Irish Civil War. The party was primarily composed of former members of the Pro-Treaty faction of the Irish Republican Army.
The party played a significant role in shaping early Irish politics and was led by notable figures such as W.T. Cosgrave. It focused on issues like national unity and social reform. In 1933, Cumann na nGaedheal merged with other groups to form Fine Gael, which continues to be a major political party in Ireland today.
