Crocodile Species
Crocodile species belong to the family Crocodylidae and are primarily found in tropical regions around the world. There are 15 recognized species, including the Saltwater Crocodile, Nile Crocodile, and American Crocodile. These reptiles are known for their powerful jaws, long bodies, and strong tails, which help them swim efficiently in water.
Crocodiles are carnivorous and primarily feed on fish, birds, and mammals. They are ectothermic, meaning their body temperature is regulated by their environment. Most species prefer freshwater habitats like rivers and lakes, while some, like the Saltwater Crocodile, can thrive in brackish and saltwater environments.
