Croatian Glagolitic Script
The Croatian Glagolitic Script is an ancient writing system developed in the 9th century by Saints Cyril and Methodius to transcribe the Old Church Slavonic language. It is characterized by its unique, rounded letters and was primarily used in the regions of Croatia and Slovenia.
This script played a significant role in the spread of Christianity and literacy among the Slavic peoples. Although it gradually fell out of use in favor of the Latin alphabet, the Glagolitic script remains an important part of Croatian cultural heritage and is still studied and celebrated today.
