Cricetinae
Cricetinae is a subfamily of small rodents commonly known as hamsters. They are primarily found in Europe, Asia, and parts of the Middle East. These animals are characterized by their stout bodies, short tails, and cheek pouches, which they use to store food.
Hamsters are nocturnal and typically live in burrows. They are popular pets due to their small size and relatively easy care requirements. There are several species within the Cricetinae subfamily, including the well-known Syrian hamster and various dwarf hamster species.
