Cretan wild goat
The Cretan wild goat, also known as the Kri-Kri, is a subspecies of the wild goat found primarily on the island of Crete in Greece. It has a robust body, long curved horns, and a distinctive reddish-brown coat. These goats are well-adapted to rocky terrains and steep cliffs, making them excellent climbers.
Kri-Kri are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses, shrubs, and herbs. They are social animals, often seen in small groups, and are known for their agility and speed. Conservation efforts are in place to protect this unique species, as their population has declined due to habitat loss and hunting.
