Counties of Canada
Canada is divided into ten provinces and three territories, but it does not have counties in the same way that some other countries do. Instead, the provinces and territories are further divided into smaller administrative regions, such as municipalities, cities, and towns. Each province has its own system of local governance, which can include regional districts or boroughs.
In some provinces, like Ontario and Quebec, the term "county" is still used to describe certain areas, but these are not uniform across the country. The role and function of counties can vary significantly, depending on the province's laws and administrative structure.
