Council of Tyre
The Council of Tyre was an important church assembly held in 335 AD in the city of Tyre, located in present-day Lebanon. It was convened to address various issues within the early Christian community, particularly the controversy surrounding the Arianism debate, which questioned the nature of Jesus Christ and his relationship to God the Father.
During this council, church leaders, including Bishop Eusebius of Caesarea, gathered to discuss and affirm the orthodox Christian beliefs. The council ultimately led to the condemnation of Arianism and reinforced the decisions made at the earlier First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, promoting unity within the church.
