Corps of Cadets
The Corps of Cadets is a military-style training program found in various educational institutions, primarily in the United States. It is designed to develop leadership skills, discipline, and teamwork among students. Participants, known as cadets, often wear uniforms and engage in physical training, drills, and other activities that promote a sense of camaraderie and responsibility.
Many universities, such as the Virginia Military Institute and Texas A&M University, have their own Corps of Cadets. These programs may lead to commissioning as officers in the military upon graduation, providing a pathway for students interested in serving in the armed forces while pursuing their academic goals.
