Cormorant
The cormorant is a waterbird known for its long neck, webbed feet, and distinctive dark plumage. These birds are excellent divers, using their strong bodies to swim underwater in search of fish. Cormorants can often be seen drying their wings after diving, as their feathers are not fully waterproof, which helps them maintain buoyancy while swimming.
Cormorants are found in various habitats, including coastal regions, lakes, and rivers. They are social birds, often seen in groups, and are known for their unique fishing techniques. Their presence can indicate healthy aquatic ecosystems, as they rely on abundant fish populations for survival.
