Copa del Mundo
The Copa del Mundo, or World Cup, is an international soccer tournament held every four years. Organized by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), it features national teams from around the globe competing for the title of world champion. The first tournament took place in 1930, and it has since become one of the most-watched sporting events in the world.
The tournament consists of a qualification phase, where teams compete to earn a spot in the final event. The final tournament includes 32 teams, which play in a month-long series of matches. The next Copa del Mundo is scheduled for 2026, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
