Conventuals
Conventuals are members of a religious order within the Franciscan tradition, specifically known as the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. They follow the teachings of Saint Francis of Assisi and emphasize community life, prayer, and service to others. Conventuals often live in communities called convents and engage in various ministries, including education, social work, and pastoral care.
The Conventuals are distinct from other branches of the Franciscan family, such as the Capuchins and Observants, primarily in their approach to community life and their interpretation of the Franciscan Rule. They are committed to living out the values of simplicity, humility, and charity in their daily lives.
