Control Loop
A control loop is a system used to manage and regulate processes automatically. It continuously monitors a specific variable, such as temperature or pressure, and compares it to a desired setpoint. If there is a difference, the control loop adjusts the system's output to minimize this error, ensuring the process remains stable and efficient.
Control loops are commonly found in various applications, including industrial automation and home heating systems. They can be classified into two main types: open-loop and closed-loop systems. In a closed-loop system, feedback is used to make adjustments, while open-loop systems operate without feedback.
