Control Bus
The Control Bus is a crucial component of a computer's architecture, responsible for transmitting control signals between the central processing unit (CPU) and other hardware components. These signals manage various operations, such as reading and writing data, coordinating the timing of processes, and ensuring that devices communicate effectively.
In a typical computer system, the Control Bus works alongside the Data Bus and Address Bus to facilitate smooth operation. While the Data Bus carries the actual data being transferred, the Control Bus sends commands and status signals that dictate how and when the data should be processed, ensuring the system functions correctly.
