Constellation Monoceros
Constellation Monoceros, also known as the Unicorn, is a faint constellation located on the celestial equator. It was first introduced in the 17th century and is situated near Orion and Canis Major. Monoceros contains several notable deep-sky objects, including the Rosette Nebula and the Cone Nebula.
Monoceros is best visible during the winter months in the Northern Hemisphere. It is not one of the most prominent constellations, but it can be identified by its unique shape and the presence of the bright star Betelgeuse in nearby Orion.
