Conservation Corps
The Conservation Corps is a program designed to engage young people in environmental conservation and community service. Participants, often aged 16 to 25, work on projects that restore natural habitats, improve public lands, and support local communities. These programs aim to provide hands-on experience while fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
Founded in the 1930s, the Civilian Conservation Corps was one of the first initiatives of this kind in the United States. Today, various state and national Conservation Corps continue to operate, offering training, education, and job skills to participants while promoting sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.
