Conrad III, Holy Roman Emperor
Conrad III was the Holy Roman Emperor from 1138 until his death in 1152. He was a member of the Staufen dynasty and the first emperor of the dynasty to be crowned after the death of Henry V. His reign was marked by conflicts with the Papal States and struggles against rival factions within the empire.
During his rule, Conrad III focused on consolidating imperial power and expanding his territories. He participated in the Second Crusade (1147-1149) but faced significant challenges, including military setbacks. Despite these difficulties, he is remembered for his efforts to strengthen the empire and promote stability.
