Connecticut State Senate
The Connecticut State Senate is the upper chamber of the Connecticut General Assembly, which is the state's legislative body. It consists of 36 members who are elected to serve two-year terms. Senators represent various districts across Connecticut and are responsible for proposing and voting on laws, as well as addressing issues that affect their constituents.
The Senate works alongside the Connecticut House of Representatives to create state legislation. Key responsibilities include reviewing bills, holding hearings, and approving the state budget. The Senate also plays a role in confirming appointments made by the Governor of Connecticut.
