Connecticut Senate
The Connecticut Senate is the upper chamber of the Connecticut General Assembly, which is the state's legislative body. It consists of 36 members who are elected to serve two-year terms. Senators represent various districts across Connecticut and are responsible for proposing and voting on state laws, budgets, and policies.
The Senate works alongside the Connecticut House of Representatives, the lower chamber of the General Assembly. Together, they address issues such as education, healthcare, and transportation. The Senate also plays a key role in confirming appointments made by the Governor of Connecticut and overseeing state agencies.
