Congresspersons
Congresspersons are elected officials who serve in the United States Congress, which is divided into two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate. Their primary role is to create, debate, and vote on laws that affect the country. Each congressperson represents a specific geographic area, known as a district for House members and a state for Senators.
In the House of Representatives, there are 435 members, while the Senate has 100 members. Congresspersons work on various committees that focus on specific issues, such as finance, education, and healthcare. They also engage with their constituents to understand their needs and concerns, ensuring that the voices of the people they represent are heard in the legislative process.
