Congressional Election
A Congressional Election is a process in which voters select representatives to serve in the United States Congress. This body is divided into two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate. Elections for the House occur every two years, while Senate elections are staggered, with about one-third of the Senate up for election every two years.
During these elections, candidates campaign to win the support of their constituents. Voters in each state cast their ballots, and the candidates with the most votes are elected to represent their districts or states. These elected officials play a crucial role in making laws and shaping national policy.
