Condemnation
Condemnation is the legal process by which a government or authority takes private property for public use, often referred to as eminent domain. This process typically involves compensating the property owner for the fair market value of the property being taken. Condemnation can occur for various reasons, such as building roads, schools, or other public infrastructure.
In addition to property acquisition, condemnation can also refer to the expression of strong disapproval or criticism of actions, behaviors, or policies. For example, a government may issue a condemnation of human rights violations in a foreign country, signaling its disapproval and calling for change.
