Conchs
Conchs are large marine snails belonging to the family Strombidae. They are known for their spiral-shaped shells, which can be quite colorful and are often used in decorative arts. Conchs inhabit warm, shallow waters, primarily in the Caribbean Sea and Florida.
These mollusks are herbivorous, feeding mainly on algae and seagrass. Conchs play an important role in their ecosystems by helping to maintain healthy seagrass beds. They are also harvested for their meat and shells, making them a significant part of local economies in some regions.
