Con Dao Archipelago
The Con Dao Archipelago is a group of 16 islands located off the southeastern coast of Vietnam. Known for its stunning natural beauty, the archipelago features pristine beaches, lush forests, and diverse marine life. The largest island, Con Son, is home to the only town in the group and serves as a base for visitors exploring the area.
Historically, the Con Dao Archipelago was used as a prison during the French colonial period and the Vietnam War. Today, it is a popular destination for eco-tourism, offering activities such as snorkeling, diving, and hiking, while also preserving its rich cultural heritage.
