Compostable Bags
Compostable bags are made from natural materials that break down into organic matter when disposed of properly. Unlike traditional plastic bags, which can take hundreds of years to decompose, compostable bags are designed to decompose within a few months in a composting environment. They are often made from materials like corn starch, potato starch, or PLA (polylactic acid), which are derived from renewable resources.
These bags are a more environmentally friendly option for carrying items or collecting waste. When composted, they contribute to soil health by returning nutrients to the earth. However, it's important to ensure they are disposed of in a composting facility, as they may not break down effectively in regular landfills.
