Compaq Center
The Compaq Center, located in San Jose, California, was originally built as a sports arena and concert venue. Opened in 1961, it served as the home for the San Jose Sharks hockey team and hosted various events, including concerts and conventions. The arena was known for its capacity to hold over 17,000 spectators.
In 2003, the Compaq Center was transformed into a multi-purpose facility, primarily used for religious services by the Grace Community Church. The venue underwent significant renovations to accommodate its new purpose, while still retaining its historical significance in the San Jose area.
