Common Palm Civet
The Common Palm Civet, also known as the Asian Palm Civet, is a small mammal found in tropical forests across Southeast Asia and parts of India. It has a slender body, a long tail, and distinctive markings, including spots and stripes on its fur. This nocturnal creature primarily feeds on fruits, insects, and small animals, playing a vital role in seed dispersal.
Common Palm Civets are known for their unique ability to climb trees, thanks to their sharp claws and flexible limbs. They are often solitary but can be seen in pairs during mating season. Their adaptability to various habitats, including urban areas, makes them a common sight in their range.
