Comintern
The Comintern, or Communist International, was an organization founded in 1919 to promote worldwide communism. It aimed to unite various communist parties across different countries and support revolutionary movements. The Comintern sought to spread the ideas of Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin, advocating for the overthrow of capitalist systems.
The organization played a significant role in international politics during the early 20th century, especially in the context of the Russian Revolution. It was dissolved in 1943, as the focus shifted during World War II, but its influence on global communist movements continued to be felt for decades.
