Colubrinae
Colubrinae is a subfamily of snakes commonly known as colubrine snakes. This group includes a diverse range of species, many of which are non-venomous. Colubrinae snakes are found in various habitats around the world, from forests to grasslands, and they play important roles in their ecosystems as both predators and prey.
Members of the Colubrinae subfamily exhibit a wide variety of sizes, colors, and behaviors. Some well-known examples include the rat snake and the garter snake. While most colubrine snakes are harmless to humans, a few species possess mild venom, which they use primarily to subdue their prey.
