Coal-Fired
Coal-fired power plants generate electricity by burning coal, a fossil fuel. The combustion of coal produces heat, which is used to convert water into steam. This steam then drives turbines connected to generators, producing electricity for homes and businesses.
Despite being a significant source of energy, coal-fired plants contribute to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. As a result, many countries are transitioning to cleaner energy sources, such as solar and wind power, to reduce their environmental impact and combat climate change.
